OHIO's Newest Green Roof

Schoonover Center is the home of Ohio University's newest green roof. Installed in July, 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic, the green roof is already a bright spot in an otherwise challenging summer. Once building occupants return to Schoonover, they will no longer have to view a glaring white roof membrane out of their south-facing windows, but will instead see green plantings. The roof will not only provide viewing pleasures, but will be used for research by many colleges and departments across the University.
